The starters just look the same, the only thing that would hint at only type change is maybe the colour palette.Įlectrode is dissapointing, is make the mounth texture upside down really the best they could think of (I cant even see it as a frown just the kantonian electrode mouth but flipped), other than what h-voltorb introduced. Its galea is beautiful cuz I always thought its head looked like one. I think having arms would have made it look awkward. Dialga looks mysterious, futuristic, and alien while Palkia looks ancient and mythical. Palkia and Dialga's/Arceus' new forms make much more sense than whatever those two were going for before. It looks like a massive, Komodo-Dragon-like reptile instead of a block of ice with eyes and a mandible. Lilligant also looks like Palmon and I love that.Īvalugg looks a lot more interesting now. It also reminds me of Renamon from Digimon (in a very good way as I don't mind the overall similarities some Pokémon have been seeing with Digimon). It actually looks agile and strong yet frail.
I still wish they'd switched the secondary types of Decidueye and Samurott.Īlso, Sneasel's new evo looks exponentially better than Weavile's redundant design. The only thing I'm not particularly fond of is the hearts pattern on its tail/pseudo-carapace. The design is unique and almost Chimera-like. The 4th genie was actually a pleasant surprise as I thought it would just be a Pink version of the others. Samurott, Lilligant, and Teddiursa's new evo are my favorite.
